As per the recent data, there are about 80 million Amazon prime members, and even if we order one package per week, we have tons of packaging materials coming to our doorsteps every week.
What we can do?
Remember the good old 3R rules?

How to Reduce Packaging Waste?
Give Them Feedback - After each order, take note of what was inside your Amazon package. Was the box too large, leaving empty space and wasteful fillers?By providing feedback, you can help ensure that they heed your request or, better yet, change their processes to reduce unnecessary packaging for all
Eco-Friendly Packaging - Look for items certified as “frustration-free” in the title or item description box.
Amazon Day - Chose one day of the week as Amazon delivery day and amazon will combine all the orders and deliver it on the same day. Sometimes it may not reduce the number of packages but it will reduce the cost of shipping. At-least the fuel burden on the environment.
Re-use the packaging materials
I don't have to elaborate more on this topic as we already know how to re-use the packaging boxes.
Donate the boxes - Don't just throw away these cardboard treasures. Instead, consider donating them. Please consider the below community members before planning to recycle the boxes.

U-Haul Donation Take A Box, Leave A Box
Thanks to our friends "Shivkumar Ballur" & "Saritha Masarur" for exploring this option. Take advantage of U-Haul's "Take a box and leave a box" program. This program encourages customers to pick up free used boxes, and then leave no-longer needed used boxes for other customers. We can leave the Amazon boxes there to others to pick it up.
Give Back Box Program
We can reuse the boxes to ship away clothes, household items, and other goods that we no longer need in order to make room for the new things we just bought. To start
Log onto GiveBackBox.com
Enter your zip code and email address to generate a shipping label
We can also choose to have a tax-deductible receipt
Once we have the shipping label, just fill your old Amazon box(es) with stuff we want to donate, pack it up, and drop it off at local USPS or UPS office.
